Mayura Method

Terms & Conditions

Last updated 27 July 2026

These terms cover working with me, whether that's a single session, The Becoming, or an event in Jersey. Booking with me means you agree to them. None of this is here to catch you out, it's simply so we both know where we stand.

Who you're working with

Mayura Method is run by Naomi Balderson, a Breathing Space certified 400 hour breathwork facilitator based in Jersey. You can reach me at naomi@mayura.je.

What I offer

Booking and payment

Sessions are booked through my online scheduling system, and your place is confirmed once payment is received. Fees are payable in advance unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

The Becoming is £699, payable in full or as four monthly payments of £175. If you choose the payment plan, instalments are due on the same date each month and continue for the full four months regardless of how the journey unfolds. One supported place is held in each intake, and you're welcome to email me about it.

Cancelling or rescheduling

1:1 sessions

Life happens, and I'd always rather you rearranged than pushed through. If you need to move or cancel a session, please give me at least 24 hours notice and we'll find another time at no cost.

With less than 24 hours notice, or if you don't attend, the session is treated as taken and the fee isn't refundable. If something serious happens, tell me, and I'll use my discretion.

The Becoming

The Becoming asks for real commitment, and holding your place means turning others away, so it's booked as a whole journey rather than session by session. Once you've booked, fees aren't refundable and payment plan instalments remain due, whether or not you attend every session.

Individual sessions within the journey can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice, and we'll always work around illness or genuine emergencies. If you need to pause, talk to me, and we'll find a way through together.

Events

Event places aren't refundable within 48 hours of the event, as numbers are confirmed in advance. Before that point you're welcome to cancel for a full refund. If I have to cancel an event, you'll receive a full refund or a place at the next one, whichever you prefer.

If I need to cancel

If I have to cancel a session, we'll reschedule at a time that suits you, or you'll receive a full refund for that session.

Your health and safety

Conscious Connected Breathwork is powerful, and for most people it's very safe. Before we begin you'll complete a health screening form and a waiver, and you agree to answer these fully and honestly.

Breathwork isn't suitable, or needs medical approval first, if you have or have had certain conditions, including uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart conditions, epilepsy or seizures, severe asthma, glaucoma or a detached retina, a history of psychosis, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, recent major surgery, or if you are pregnant.

You agree to tell me if your health changes between sessions. If something arises that makes the work unsafe for you, I may pause or decline sessions, and I'll always point you toward more appropriate support.

What this work is, and isn't

Breathwork supports how you feel in yourself. It is not medical treatment, psychotherapy, counselling or a substitute for professional healthcare, and I don't diagnose or treat any physical or mental health condition.

Please keep taking any prescribed medication and stay in touch with your doctor or therapist. If you're under professional care for a mental health condition, please speak to them before beginning breathwork.

I can't guarantee particular outcomes. Every person's experience is different, and what unfolds depends on many things beyond either of our control.

Your responsibility

You take part of your own free will and remain responsible for your own wellbeing during and after sessions. You agree to follow my guidance during the work, to stop if something doesn't feel right, and to tell me straight away if you're uncomfortable.

For online sessions, you agree to set yourself up somewhere private, comfortable and safe, lying down, away from anything you could knock into, and not to drive or operate machinery for at least an hour afterwards.

Confidentiality

What you share with me stays with me. The only exceptions are where I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or where the law requires disclosure. See my Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, my liability in connection with any session, journey or event is limited to the amount you paid for it.

I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes arising from information you didn't disclose on your health screening.

Behaviour at events

Events are shared spaces held with care. I ask everyone to arrive respectful of others, to keep what's shared in the room confidential, and not to attend under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. I reserve the right to ask someone to leave, without refund, if that isn't honoured.

Photography

I sometimes take photographs at events. If you'd rather not appear in them, just tell me, and that's completely fine.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force is the one published here on the date you book.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, and the Jersey courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

These terms are provided in good faith and are not legal advice. Before relying on them, it's worth having a Jersey lawyer or your insurer review them against your policy.
